Kala(Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2016” Children’s Day painting competition in Association with “AMERICAN TOURISTER has concluded with the prize distribution to all winners at a colorful ceremonial function held at Indian Community School, Khaitan on Thursday, 8th December 2016. The program was witnessed by Indian Embassy Officials, Community Leaders, Business Personalities, School Principals, Art Teachers and Media Representatives. The Painting competition was held on the occasion of the birthday of late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India.
Mr. A. K. Srivastava, Second Secretary, Indian Embassy Kuwait, inaugurated the function and appreciated all winners for their fabulous painting works, which were displayed at the entrance. Mr.Srivastava highlighted Panditji's empathy towards children and his vision for India and appreciated the organizers for conducting such programs. The 12th Anniversary souvenir of “NIRAM“ was released by Mr. Srivastava by handing over the first copy to Mr. K. Hassan Koya, Convener Public Relation & Mr. Mukesh V.P., Convener Souvenir.
The spectacular evening started with the National Anthem of Kuwait followed by India. The welcome speech was addressed by Mr. Rakesh P. D. General Secretary, Kala (Art) Kuwait. Organization President Mr. Jaison Joseph Chaired the function. NIRAM-2016 program reporting done by General Convener Mr. Sunil Kumar and Judging Assessment was briefed by Artist Sasikrishnan. The program was enriched by the presence of the chief dignitaries on the dais, Mr. Shehsaad Gidwani, General Manager, Morad Yousef Behbehani Company, Mr. Sijo Varghese, General Manger, American Tourister, NIRAM-2016 General Convener Mr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. John Art, Kala(Art) Treasurer Mr. A. Mohanan, Niram-2016 Judges Artist Sasikrishnan, Artist M.V.John, Artist Shummy John, Artist Nikesh, Artist Sunil Kulanada, Kala(Art) Kuwait office bearers Mr. Samkutty Thomas, Mr. Hassan Koya, Mr. K Sadik, Mr. C. Bhaskaran, Mr. Mukesh V. P., Mrs. Renuka Bhaskaran & Mr. Abubacker.
Limca Book of records winner in caricature creations Dr. John Art were honored with memento on the occasion and the Panel of Judges, Artist Sasikrishnan, Artist Shummy John, Artist M.V.John, Artist Nikesh and Artist Sunil Kulanada also were honored by Kala (Art) Kuwait by giving away mementos in recognition of their laudable contributions in the field of Arts. Kala (Art) Kuwait presented mementos to Mrs. Bhavitha Bright, Mr. Jeeves Erinjery, Mrs. Haseena Sharaf & Miss. Sneha Das for their tremendous support in compeering the event. Treasurer Mr. A. Mohanan congratulated the winners and thanked the guests and audience and the prizes to all the group winners were presented by the dignitaries on the dais.
The Judges adjudged unanimously the Overall Champion Ship 1st Position to IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, Abbasiya, 2nd Position to United Indian School, Abbassiya, and 3rd Position Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School. It is noteworthy that a total of 2375 students from 21 Indian schools in Kuwait has participated in the competition classified into 5 groups and the prizes were distributed among, Five 1st Prizes in to each group, Eight 2nd Prizes, Nine 3rd prizes, 63 Merit Prizes and 181 consolation prizes (Total 266 Prizes). The first place winners of each group received a Gold coin & Gold medal, Second place winner with silver medal and Third place winner with bronze medal apart from memento, certificate & AMERICAN TOURISTER Sponsored Bag.

S., Anil Varghese, Sharath, Vishnu, Naithan Daniel, Binu, Biju, Ambili, Jyothi & Safreena, were active as volunteers to ensure the smooth and successful holding of the program.
Kala (Art) Kuwait has congratulated all the winners and also thanked all the participants as well as School Managements, Sponsors, All Indian Associations, Kuwait's English dailies, Web Portals and Malayalam Medias for their wholehearted support to make the event a grand success. Also thanked the Parents and Art Teachers for their cooperation and support and to the management of Indian Community School-Khaitan.
