During the holy month of Ramadan, a symbol of friendship, co-operation and mutual love, Kala(Art) Kuwait organized an Iftar get-together and share friendships. At the same time, Kala(Art) Kuwait extended a warm and prosperous farewell to Mr. Hassan Koya, a founding member and former President and current Treasurer of Kala(Art) Kuwait, who is returning home after 32 years of exile.
The event was held at Khaitan Indian Community School on April 8 at 5.30 pm and was attended by eminent personalities from various business and Cultural organizations in Kuwait were present. President Mukesh V P presided over the function. Secretary Sivakumar welcomed the gathering. In his keynote address, Mukesh said that it was an honor and respect for Mr. Hassan Koya to be known as a popular figure among the Kuwait Malayalees through his 32 years of selfless social work as a person who can be approached by anyone at any time. Executive member Anecha Shaijit presented the biography of Hassan Koya.
Indian Community School Board Secretary Mr. Ameer, Lulu Exchange Representative Mr. Sarfraz, Bahrain Exchange Representative Mr. Ramdas, Prominent leaders Hamza Payyanur, Babuji Bathery, Adv. John Thomas, Anwar Syed, Manoj Mavelikkara, Babu Francis, Aby Varikad, Sunoj Nambiar, Basheer Mandoli, Jayesh, Dr. Binumon, Razak, Shayjith, Sajeev Narayanan, Shameej Kumar and Anian Kunju Samuel spoke on the occasion. Hassan Koya's reply speech was emotional. Jason Joseph delivered vote of thanks. Ragesh P D did the compiling.
Arts (Art) Kuwait Executive Committee members Sunil Kumar, Johnny, Kanakaraj, Ashraf, Ambili Ragesh, Ajith, Mustafa, Jyothi Sivakumar, Girish and Shishita were led the event.
