Kala(Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2019” Children’s Day painting competition powered by “AMERICAN TOURISTER has concluded with the prize distribution to all winners at a colorful ceremonial function held at Oxford Pakistani English School, Abbasiya on Friday, 13th December 2019. The program was witnessed by Indian Embassy Officials, Community Leaders, Business Personalities, School Principals, Art Teachers, Parents and Media Representatives. The Painting competition was held on 15th November 2019 the occasion of the birthday of late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India.
H. E. Mr. K. Jeeva Sagar, The Ambassador of India to Kuwait and Dr. Mustafa Al-Mousawi, President, Kuwait Transplant Society and Chairman, Organ Transplant Center, Kuwait has inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Dr. Mustafa Al-Mousawi appreciated all winners for their fabulous painting works, which were displayed at the entrance during his inaugural speech and appreciated the organizers for conducting such programs.
The spectacular evening started with the National Anthem of Kuwait followed by India. The welcome speech was addressed by Mr. Siva Kumar. General Secretary, Kala (Art) Kuwait. Organization President Mr. Mukesh V. P. Chaired the function. NIRAM-2019 program reporting done by General Convener Mr. Jaison Joseph and Judging Assessment was briefed by Niram-2019 Judge Mr. M. V. John. The 15th Anniversary souvenir of “NIRAM“ was released by Mr. Mohammed Amir by handing over the first copy to H. E. Mr. K. Jeeva Sagar. Panel of Judges were honored by Kala (Art) Kuwait by giving away mementos in recognition of their laudable contributions in the field of Arts. Kala (Art) Kuwait presented mementos to Mrs. Anzeen Ayoob & Mr. Jeeves Erinjery for their tremendous support in compeering the event. Kala (Art) Kuwait Social Secretary Rakesh P. D. thanked the guests and audience. Then the prizes to all the group winners were presented by the dignitaries.
The Judges adjudged unanimously the Overall Champion Ship 1st Position to IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, Abbasiya, 2nd Position – Smart Indian School, Abbasiya, 3rd Position- Learners Own Academy, Abbassiya. C. Bhaskaran Memorial Trophy as a tribute to Late. Mr. C Bhaskaran, one of the founder and advisory board member of Kala(Art) Kuwait, won by IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, the school from which maximum numbers of students were participated in this event. It is noteworthy that a total of 2810 students from 24 Indian schools in Kuwait have participated in the competition classified into 5 groups and the prizes were distributed among, Five 1st Prizes in to each group, Six 2nd Prizes, Nine 3rd prizes, 66 Merit Prizes and 199 consolation prizes (Total 282 Prizes). The first place winners of each group received a Gold coin & Gold medal, Second place winner with silver medal and Third place winner with bronze medal apart from memento, certificate and AMERICAN TOURISTER Sponsored Bag. Merit Prize & Consolation Prize winners received Trophy, Certificate & AMERICAN TOURISTER Sponsored Bag and Foot Ball.
Kala (Art) Kuwait has thanked all the participants as well as School Managements, Sponsors, All Indian Associations, Kuwait's English dailies, Web Portals and Malayalam Medias for their wholehearted support to make the event a grand success.
